The Money Changers

The life of The Messiah was described as perfect. It was a sinless example of what the life of man could be. He preached forgiveness and love and many of history's great leaders referenced his life when they set out to change the world. But one group of people drew down the anger of the son of man and even drew violence on themselves from the same. The Money Changers. It is argued that the gospels suggest that this actually happened on two separate recorded occasions, on separate Passovers, which also suggests that when The Messiah saw these men set up in the temple at any time, they were in danger of his rebuke.

These men and their industry played on those that came to the temple to pray and make sacrifices. The changers traded native or temple money for Greek and Roman money and traded the currency with a markup. Then they also controlled the sale of sacrificial livestock. So in order to pray and get ones self right with God, a man had to go through this “Commercial” process of dealing with the changers. The high priests, for a cut, allowed the changers to set up shop inside the temple, thereby legitimizing (or making common) what they were doing. The Messiah saw this and went about to “Cleanse” the temple. Why did this particular group draw such a strong rebuke from The Messiah and what does this fact have to say about our current circumstance? It’s simple. This group of men, along with the high priests, skim riches off of the needful things, provided to man by God. Under the Mosaic Laws, if you did not make proper sacrifice you were in jeopardy. The Messiah saw this and moved quickly to dissociate his father’s house from this crooked commercialism and remove the changers physically from the temple.

Today, money changers control Everything and they make the most money, still, in skimming transactions for mans most needful things. Home loans, transportation loans, swiping a credit or debit card, withdrawing your money from a bank or keeping your money in a bank, all require that you deal with money changers that will do basically anything to see that as little of your money as possible, gets back to you. But it’s not only that, any time payment contract that you sign today is written so that the lender can retrieve the item that you bought from them AND still charge you basically the full value of the item. Banks that foreclosed on people’s homes (and got bailout money) will still show the defaulted value of the loan on the person’s credit report. That’s just on consumer spending. At a higher level sits the Federal Reserve Bank. The Fed “Prints” our country’s currency which is backed by....nothing. But we use Federal Reserve notes to pay employees and allow them to purchase things. We give our labor and goods, they give us paper money that they print off and “Assign” value to. The money is valuable by decree only, which means that it is only valuable if the system that honors the decree exists and is honored. The Messiah' run in with the money changers still has ramifications on today's life. What The Messiah was trying to show us is that not only did we not need the changers but when they become entwined with our leaders to make us feel as though we need them, we should overturn them. The changers made so much money robbing the people that they could afford to bribe the high priests.....sound familiar?

Why am I rambling all of this stuff off? Good question....I’m glad you asked.Today’s money changers are giants. They have weaved themselves into the very fabric of what we eat, what we think and what we teach our children. They've been at this a very long time. The business cycle (times of prosperity versus times of recession) is controlled by them. The object is simple. To allow you and I to accumulate things and wealth and then to suck all of the money and credit out of the system, so that all of that accumulation has to go back to them, but for pennies on the dollar. I'm telling you this now, because 2008 began a fundamental change in the systems efficacy.

People of the world are beginning to wake up to the game that the changers have played with the US dollar. Did you know that no country on the planet can buy or sell oil unless the transaction is done in US dollars? Of course, there was a markup involved to buy the dollars and that should mean revenue for the American public, right? It would be right if the Federal Reserve Bank was part of our federal government, but it is not. The Federal Reserve Bank is a private bank, that's controlled by (you guessed it) European money changers or international bankers as they are called today. Just like The Messiah stepped in at the temple, the fact that we attack any country that attempts to cut their country's economy off of corrupt dollar buying system tells me that the world is waking up. We are sending our young people off to fight, kill and die in countries just to safeguard the money changer's system, based on our dollar. When God deals with corrupt kingdoms and empires, he breaks their economy first. Ask pharaoh. In 2008 we began to see God deal with the money changer's system that has been built on the US dollar. God deals with kingdoms where the changers set up and enslave his people. You can tell when the changers have taken hold because the empire begins engaging in senseless wars and assassinations on leaders that would restore power and freedom to the people. Every president assassinated in this country has taken a position against a private central bank, controlled by the money changers.

I could go on, but I won't. Understanding that the money changers are robbing us in the same way that they did in The Messiah's time is revelation, knowledge from God that will free his people. By following our king's example, we should overturn their tables in our most sacred of things. The Bible says "Come out of her my children" and a part of that is renewing our minds regarding letting the changers into our every day lives. We have the power to divest our moneys from their banks, stop paying them interest by buying on credit and removing their cronies from office. The question becomes "Will we emulate The Messiah?” Think about it and study it for yourselves.
